CYSE Academic Advisors
Advisors are an integral part of your education. They will support you and help you make the most of your George Mason experience. CYSE offers both virtual and in-person advising appointments to current students through scheduled appointments with an advisor.

Highly qualified undergraduate students may obtain a master's degree in a shorter time-frame through the bachelor's/accelerated master's (BAM) pathway.
Schedule an Appointment
- Log in to Patriot Connect using your Mason NetID and password.
- Confirm your password-sharing preference and click "Accept" to proceed.
- Select "Get Assistance" in the top right corner and follow the prompts to schedule your appointment.
Undeclared or Undecided Majors
Students in the College of Engineering and Computing who have not declared a major should schedule an appointment with an Undeclared/Undecided Academic Advisor.
Declare the CYSE Major
- Students interested in declaring the CYSE Major must meet all of the Criteria to Declare.
- Prospective CYSE Majors may email CYSE Academic Advisors to request an appointment. One appointment will be granted to each prospective student.
- Students who need additional time to meet the criteria to declare should temporarily change their major to CEC Undeclared or Exploratory.
